I’m not doing this for any of the reasons you might have preconceived. I’m not doing this to guilt trip anyone. I’m not doing this to show off whatsoever. This is for me. This is me trying to become a better person.

If you really knew me, you’d know that although it seems like I have everything together, I don’t.

If you really knew me, you’d know that my “cockiness” and “arrogance” is just something I use to overshadow my self-consciousness and low self-esteem.

If you really knew me, you’d know that sometimes I take my anger out on people I love the most.

If you really knew me, you’d know that I have a hard time making friends.

If you really knew me, you’d know that sometimes I don’t act my true self because I want to be perceived in a way that people will like me.

If you really knew me, you’d know that I sometimes I try too hard to impress people.

If you really knew me, you’d know that sometimes I care way too much about what people think of me.

If you really knew me, you’d know that I try to fit in sometimes.

If you really knew me, you’d know that I don’t mean to be a jerk and that I really do care about others’ feelings.

If you really knew me, you’d know that there are so many things about me that I don’t like.

If you really knew me, you’d know that all I want to do is make my family proud of me.

If you really knew me, you’d know that I stress out too much.

If you really knew me, you’d know that I feel really hurt when people say something negative about me.

If you really knew me, you’d know that I there are times where the only sense of relief for me is to do nothing.

If you really knew me, you’d know that my parents want something good for me; but sometimes, I feel like I can’t live up to what they want.

And if you really knew me, you’d know that I’m really trying to change; but it’s hard when people don’t even give me that second chance.
